Can I use my own Handycam or Camcorder I bought at a big box store?
Sure, most of today’s consumer grade cameras (motion cameras, not still cameras) will connect successfully to your Flash or Windows Media Video Encoder on your computer. But for High Quality webcasting we recommend a camera that has a 1.29” sensor or greater. We can help you make the right purchase, just ask!
Can I use the camera built in to my computer (i.e. “Sony’s motion eye”, etc.)?
Yes, we’ve run test on several built in cameras and have successful broadcasts keeping the bandwidth upload rates in the 200 – 300 kps (kilobytes per second) range. Try out your camera and let us know how it goes! We’re always interested in what equipment our customers are using. And love to learn how they like it.
Do I need special microphones to capture audio?
The microphone built into your camera should be fine. Many people use “Lavalier” mics (the kind you pin to your lapel or shirt) for clearer audio from the speaking Host of your program. If you need additional microphone assistance please call us and our Equipment Packaging Agents will assist you in finding the right microphones for your needs
What kind of processing speed does my computer need to make Worship Stream work effectively?
A dual core processor is preferred, but we’ve successfully broadcast programs from a variety of laptops and tower computers from manufactures such as Dell, HP and Sony.
I have a one-time special event coming up. Can I use WorshipStream's free trial to stream that event?
Our free trial is designed for churches using WorshipStream for normal streaming of their services and regular events. If you have a special event, such as a concert or conference, please contact us. We're more than happy to work with you to provide a solution for your event.
